Gid's awake now. He's going to be all right, but he won't be walking for a week or so.
Also, Ed knows this already, but we're pretty sure the Death Eaters at the library were Bellatrix and Rodolphus Lestrange. Rodolphus grabbed the shield, so wherever he is now, he's probably as Confunded as Benjy was Saturday. Bellatrix used some nasty curses.
